Greetings, I'm going slowly crazy over gtk2. I'm trying to build gkrellm from source, but I get the following when running configure: +++++ checking GLIB_LIBS... -lgobject-2.0 -lgthread-2.0 -lpthread -lglib-2.0 checking for gtk+-2.0 >= 2.0.5... Package gtk+-2.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `gtk+-2.0.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable No package 'gtk+-2.0' found +++++ Looking in yast2, it says that I currently have gtk2 2.0.6-71 installed. But when looking in /usr/include all I see is 1.2, and I assume there should be a 2.0 there too ? Any ideas what could be wrong, and what I can do about it ? -- Anders Jarnberg in Stockholm, Sweden running SusE 8.1 Pro with KDE and listening to Massinova with xmms...

What about gtk2-devel? -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless

Hmm, I have a gtk-devel in yast2, but there's no gtk2-devel there. Shouldn't gtk2-devel be in yast2 ? (tried both graphical and curses) Anyway, I found the RPMs at SuSe, and will try to apply them. First the gtk2-devel RPM and then the gtk2-devel-patch RPM, right ? -- Anders Jarnberg in Stockholm, Sweden running SusE 8.1 Pro with KDE and listening to Massinova with xmms...

Yes, or you can get a single RPM so you don't need to apply the patch RPM... ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/update/8.1/rpm/i586/gtk2-devel-2.0.6-71.i586.rpm James -- James Ogley, Webmaster, Rubber Turnip james@rubberturnip.org.uk http://www.rubberturnip.org.uk Jabber: riggwelter@myjabber.net Using Free Software since 1994, running GNU/Linux (SuSE 8.1).
