Problems with Internet Connection via MS-ISA (Running SuSE 8.2)
Hello, I am running SuSE 8.2 and having problems connecting to the Internet via a Microsoft ISA Server. I have configured Network Services > Proxy using manual settings http://[proxy server ip]:80 Authentication is set to "Prompt if required". When I connect using Konqueror I get an error message page from the MS-ISA that authentication is required, but I never get prompted to give user/passwd. Using wget I get the same response even when I add the user and passwd options. My host is able to authenticate on shares in the NTDOMAIN using PAM_SMB, I can even use SMB to access the MS-ISA machine. My host has also been added to the NTDOMAIN. Though this was not required to use SMB, I just thought it may be the reason why the ISA service will not authenticate. The ISA service running on the NT host is set so that hosts in the LAN Subnet do not require to authentication in order to connect, but still I cannot connect to Internet. Using Mozilla gives the same response, even though Mozilla uses its own settings. Any ideas or clues welcome I very much want to get rid of this WinBox they gave me.
