[opensuse] HP Laser Jet Pro M477fdw works great so far
This is an amendment to the thread I started on the Canon Color imageCLASS MF733Cdw printer. AS I mentioned previously, I gave up on the Canon finding no viable Opensuse support. The HP Laser Jet Pro M477fdw installed without any problems. I have only tested printing and scanning so far, but both appear to work better than I had expected. The image I have attached is from a scan of an Channel advertisement by Keira Knightley, a favorite. Sorry for the size of the attachment. Image taken with Xsane defaults at a resolution of only 200 dpi. Thanks again for previous help. Don

you have just sent 4.6M to everyone on the list, some with measured service (which you just spent their monies). post images or large files to something like google.drive where those interested can access the file. PLEASE, don't attach or post images or large files to the list. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

+1 I wonder why the mailing list allows such huge attachments at all. IMHO it should refuse to accept anything larger than 1MB or so.... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Scan was a tad big, but one of these now and then doesn't really hurt. Who on this list is paying by the byte anymore. Its 2018 for pete sake. Unfortunately, Opensuse had to pay that bill. You kind of expect the scanner to do a good job. I can't wait to see the print outs. My new printer will be arriving tomorrow. There are some. Not everybody is fortunate, and not everybody lives in a fortunate country. And even those that do, can live in a rural spot where connectivity is limited. There are also cap limits on other connections. I have one of those when not at home. -- Cheers/Saludos Carlos E. R. Such people aren't on this list Carlos, because you alone would drive them to bankrupcy. ;-) -- After all is said and done, more is said than done. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

That one email doubled the size of the combined total of nearly 700 saved messages in my openSUSE mail folder, was seriously unappreciated, and thus ignored by me. Unfortunately, my mail program didn't get that choice. openSUSE provides susepaste for that purpose. Please use it. -- "Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Whatever else you get, get wisdom."
