Wine program state still ALPHA?
On a recent forage into installing Wine on my system from the 9 Pro CD's I see the software is still in an alpha state? How come, I would have thought that by now it could be either late beta or a stable app. Hope it goes stable soon and gets alot more user intuitive, maybe with a little help from Novell? -- ======================================================================== Hylton Conacher - Licenced ex-Windows user (apart from Quicken) Registered Linux user # 229959 at http://counter.li.org Using SuSE 9.0 with KDE 3.1 ========================================================================

There are companies making WINE products, like Codeweavers with their CrossOver Office and Plugin products and TransGaming with their Game enhancing WineX. They are already selling the technology ;) As for WINE the OpenSource package, it will probably go into BETA this year. Ciao, Marcus
