[opensuse] Firefox attempts to update add-ons in safe-mode
I started firefox today with the -safe-mode option, and was surprised that it scanned the installed add-ons for updates and presented me with the update dialog, even though the add-ons are supposed to be disabled. This is definitely not what I would expect from a "safe mode". Does this qualify as a bug? If so, whose? Comments welcome. (The wider context for this is that I have been unable to use firefox for the last fortnight or so, suspect that it was reading corrupt data from somewhere, and -safe-mode did not get rid of the problem.) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Since the plugins are still disabled, I'd call it unexpected, but not "unsafe". I wouldn't call it a bug myself, but if you wanted to, it seems the proper place to report it would be through the Firefox project's pages. Looks like a feature to me, outdated plugins may be the reason why firefox fails to start cleanly in the first place.. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
