[opensuse] News for darktable users
Hi, For those using darktable package from either official openSUSE repos or factory, or from graphics repos, roughly a month ago, I have announced that the thumbnail compression will be removed. Now thanks to packman this option is back and all you have to is use the Multimedia repo and select darktable from packman. This version has the squish library enabled meaning thumbnails are compressed and smaller. Have fun Togan -- Life is endless possibilities -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Cool, thanks for this! No need to remove any ~/.cache/darktable/mipmaps this time? C. -- openSUSE 12.3 x86_64, KDE 4.10 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Not necessary, but removing and rebuilding the mipmaps means the thumbnails are compressed using the squish library, so it should speed up. -- Life is endless possibilities -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
