I see there's a new Chromium update. Is it safe to install? Last one caused problems.

What makes you think, that somebody would offer an unsafe update?
It happened last time.
Shit happens, but usually not on purpose. I assume the maintainers do their best and are convinced that all in all it is better to replace the current Chromium with an updated version than to keep the old one.

OK, I'm installing the update. If my computer blows up, it's your fault! 😉

It's broken. You owe me a new computer! 😉
Great! A fresh start always brings new excitement for the weekend. You are still alive, so it didn't blow up, ergo it has nothing to do with Chromium, which works perfectly on my Leap 15.6. It might help if you change to to a different operating system;-) I assume you also tested it on a fresh user to exclude any residue from the previous Chromium user. You should be grateful Just remember the fun we had in the younger days of Linux and and software not working, this is your chance to experience that feeling again:-))

How do you know I'm not using another computer? I do have one. 😉 It works fine after reverting to 125. There is definitely a problem with this version as with the previous one. I just kill the browser, change the version in Yast > Software Managent and then restart it.

Until TW bug https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1227739 suggests so, or reports elsewhere suggest so, I'm keeping v125 locked. -- Evolution as taught in public schools is, like religion, based on faith, not based on science. Team OS/2 ** Reg. Linux User #211409 ** a11y rocks! Felix Miata
