If you're looking for the server-side, there is Icecast, http://www.icecast.org. It streams mp3 and ogg files and it's GPLed. David

You mean, say, RealPlayer for Linux? Go to http://www.real.com/ and look for RealPlayer8 Basic, which is also available in RPM. -- -=|JP|=- Need a good geek? I'm unemployed! Sorry, I didn't really understand the question. As others have suggested, IceCast is a pretty good solution, but the RealMedia streaming server is also available for Linux; http://www.real.com/. ;) Go to http://freshmeat.net/ and look around there, too. -- -=|JP|=- Need a good geek? Any thoughts on recording streaming audio from Realplayer?

Get the Realaudio plugin for xmms and use it instead of Realplayer. Now you can use the disk writer plugin as output. Charles -- The box saids Windows XP or better, so I installed Linux
