Re: [S.u.S.E. Linux] IDE in SB AWE 32 PnP
Hi, the ide interface on soundblasters is (almost) like any other. the first thing is to make sure it is enabled in the first place, use the jumpers or the pnp software from <A HREF="http://www.creaf.com/</A">http://www.creaf.com/</A> then you want to set the card to irq 15, not 14 (secondary ide). if it is a pnp card, linux may have a problem, unles linux can see the ide interface at boot up. if you do have to use the isapnp tools to turn it on, then you may not be able to do it. Any one else have a SB64? this is from my experiance with soundblasters. the older cards with jumpers are much nicer. On Sat, 21 Feb 1998, [iso-8859-1] José Valerdi Tormo wrote:
Hello, I try configure in Linux the IDE interface of my SB AWE 32 PnP. Anybody knows which driver I have to use it or how I can configure it.
Thanks.
