[opensuse] NoMachine install fails - 15.1
I just tried installing NoMachine! on openSUSE 15.1. It fails with an integrity check. It worked fine on 15.0. Anyone else experience this? https://www.nomachine.com/download/download&id=5 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

integrity normally indicates the file is not what the orig presents, ie: bad dl or infected or ... -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

What is the exact textual error you get? Please paste command and result. Is it perchance that the package is not signed? To verify a signature, first you have to download and install the signature, something that possibly the don't support and the error has to be ignored. The page shows an md5: Version: 6.7.6_11 Package size: 44.61 MB Package type: RPM MD5 signature: 807ed5a5858d44aac9e2da0a7b80a8d2 And it matches: cer@Telcontar:~/Download/Firefox_downloads> md5sum nomachine_6.7.6_11_x86_64.rpm 807ed5a5858d44aac9e2da0a7b80a8d2 nomachine_6.7.6_11_x86_64.rpm cer@Telcontar:~/Download/Firefox_downloads> ls -lh nomachine_6.7.6_11_x86_64.rpm -rw-r--r-- 1 cer users 45M May 30 22:17 nomachine_6.7.6_11_x86_64.rpm cer@Telcontar:~/Download/Firefox_downloads> -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. Error: INVALID:nomachine-6.7.6-11.x86_64 (file-fa64b1b9): Signature verification failed [6-File is unsigned] Header SHA1 digest: OK MD5 digest: OK Package is not signed! I guess I'll have to trust the md5sum. I don't recall seeing that sort of error before. I have seen warnings about something not signed or expired signature. On 2019-05-30 04:26 PM, Carlos E. It is common on third party packages, outside of the OBS. Besides that, as I did not really install the package, only test install it, I did not see the error you saw, nor did I find a way to verify the signature. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.0 x86_64 at Telcontar)

Well, it's installed now and seems to work. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

you can run md5 against the checksum, if they match it is similar to a signed package. aiui -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
