Hi! I set up wvdial SUID on my machine so that ordinary users can use modem: -rwsr-x--- 1 root dialout 92084 May 9 05:42 /usr/bin/wvdial BTW, I don't understand why this is not the default setting. What is the purpose of the dialout group then? Unfortunately, when dialout members use kwvdial - which is just a GUI wrapper around wvdial, SUID permissions are denied.
