[opensuse] Leap 42.1 - Seamonkey complains about being outdated and insecure
Should one file an enhancement bug request or will this come through the normal channel? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

What version are you using? You don't want to be using 2.40 as it has a zero day in it. I think the best thing would be to download 2.46 from seamonkey-project.org and put it in /usr/local, then wait for it to come through the normal channel. There is a version 2.46 in the build service: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/mozilla:/Factory/openSUSE_Leap_42.... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

please not that there is no official update to 2.46 as of today mainly because seamonkey dropped components. (chatzilla and dom-inspector IIRC) So doing an upgrade would need to remove those components which is a loss of functionality. But then again I cannot avoid that. For updates I'm looking for feedback if it works properly but DO NOT TEST UPDATE to seamonkey 2.46 from mozilla AS OF NOW. It will force you to update NSS to 3.28.1 which then again will break some sites like Google. If you would like to test nevertheless you can do. A fix for the NSS/Seamonkey breakage will be provided tomorrow tentatively. Wolfgang Cool, thank you. No hastle, it was just because I noticed the warning opening it. So I wanted to investigate if this was known, wanted or to be reported. You answered that and all so timely. Thank you for your info.
