[opensuse] Recent problems on 42.2
There have been a few updates recently and I've noticed a new cosmetic problem. The bar at the top of the window often partially fades into some other image, for lack of a better description, and the buttons at the top right will often disappear, though they still work. Clciking the "Show Desktop" icon on the tool bar and then reopening the windows clears this. Has anyone else noticed this? tnx jk -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Sorry, KDE. If I took a screen shot, is it possible to attach to a message? I'll give it a try. If you can see this, you should see a grey area, above the black, in the email composition window below. However, since taking the snapshot, the grey disappeared. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Well, inserting an image didn't work. Now I'll try as an attachment.

yes and you send a .5g file to *everyone* on the list including those on dial-up and measured service. somewhat discourteous of you, er, very discourteous of you. please endeavour no matter how hard, to be a littel more considerate. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

That doesn't seem to work for images. I tried to paste a PNG file and all it saves was the location of the file on my system. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Thanks :-) Appreciated. It does make a difference for those of us, that even occasionally, have a limited Internet connection. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.2 x86_64 "Malachite" (Minas Tirith))

Never seen that before, that's F'ed up. Looks like the gradient on the upper 1/2 of the titlebar window decoration is rendering transparent. I don't know why, but I think I did see something similar in a change log? Or maybe on the kde-devel list, but it would have been in the 5.7 - 5.8 time frame. I can't find the post right now. This issue needs to be reported (along with your screenshot, and the window decor name you are using). Sorry, no rabbits to pull out of my hat on this one. -- David C. I've been following this thread, and haven't decided if it is the same issue that I have been having. But I thought that I would chime in to see if what I have is the same problem or if you would suggest that I start a new thread because it is an altogether different problem. I have had the problem for a few weeks and have just been waiting to see if it would go away on it's own. On most of the websites that I go to on Firefox, it won't scroll up or down now with the mouse wheel. In addition, in some programs such as Firefox, Thunderbird, & Gwenview, the up-down scroll bar disappears. If I put my mouse over the place where the place where the scroll bar would appear, I can still scroll the view up or down using the mouse pointer (but not the scroll wheel). I am using Leap 42.2, KDE plasma version 5.8.6, KDE Framework 5.32.0, Qt version 5.6.1, and kernel 4.4.62-18.6-default Mark

Is this in plasma 5 or KDE4 plasma? In the bottom right corner, the clock - how did you set up the two rows (time/date) and the font sizes for them? For me the time and date were put side by side on the panel and I could not set their font sizes separately. Plasma 5 I believe. It's whatever came with 42.2. As for the clock, I didn't do anything special. I just have the digital clock widget and right clicked on the clock for the digital clock settings. I didn't even know there was a single line option. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
