[opensuse] How to setup an ftp update location
I've been looking for this information for a while. I want to copy all the install CDs I have for Suse and put them on a FTP server. Then I want to be able to go into Yast and point it there so that the next time I try to install a piece of software, it looks on the ftp site first. So, I copied all the CDs to the FTP site using the structure (x86/disk1, x86/disk2, x64/disk1, x64/disk2 ...). Yast would only add the site if I pointed it to one of the disk directories. I haven't tried to install anything from it but I'm afraid it will ask me for the other disks and I'm trying to install software on a machine that is in a different state. Can anyone tell me how to do this? I know it has to do with the structure but I don't know what the correct format is. Thank you in advance. Thats correct, just put them that way and point to the first cd location, it will not ask to add the other CDs, only the first one. Marcio --- Druid -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
