[SuSE Linux] DOS Install of SuSE 5.3
Is there anyway to start the SuSE 5.3 installation program (linuxrc), on SuSE installation CD-ROM disk #1, from DOS via loadlin?? The bios I have is NOT configurable, therefore I cannot set the CD-ROM as a bootable device. The NIC I have has no driver yet for Linux, therefore I cannot install from the network. I cannot simultaneously have both 3.5 floppy and CD-ROM drives present at boot time (I am on a laptop that only allows one to be plugged in at a time), therefore I cannot boot from the SuSE installation floppy and point linuxrc at the CD-ROM drive since it was not present at boot time. jpg -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archive at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>

Of course. Just launch setup.exe on CD#1 and choose "boot via loadlin".
