USB mouse doesn't work on startup
I am running suse 8.0 and using a microsoft intellimouse explorer 3.0. When I boot up the machine, the mouse will not work, but if I unplug the mouse and plug it back it, it does work. Why would this happen? Here is a copy of my /var/log/message: http://airyk.freeshell.org/stuff/messages as you can see at the end of the file, when I unplugged the mouse at 04:12:25, the disconnect was detected, so it knows it's there. by the way, the motherboard is an abit KT7A-raid, which has usb issues. I have set up the recommended usb setting in the bios. also, the mouse had no problems like this in redhat 7.3 thanks airyk _________________________________________________________________________ This mail sent via toadmail.com, web e-mail @ ToadNet - want to go fast? http://www.toadmail.com
I came across similar problems with the Wheel Mouse Optical USB. My approach was to edit the XF86Config file by hand. This was on of my attempts. Your identifier may be Mouse[1] as I had two mice on this machine.
