Hi all, I'm having a small problem with setting up a ppp server using an external modem. Everything seems to work fine, mgetty hands off the connection to pppd which authenticates and logs in the user fine. The problem is with the IP address/netmask combination. I set the IP in /etc/ppp/options.ttyS0 and that gets picked up fine, but the client (Win98) gets the netmask of 255.0.0.0, it needs to be 255.255.255.0 to see the rest of the net (required for printing etc). The default gateway is set to 10.0.1.100 but I can't actually ping it 'cos the netmask is wrong! I've set the netmask to 255.255.255.0 in /etc/ppp/options (and the file mentioned above) but it doesn't work :-( I can't find any info in the man pages, readme's etc...
