Hello All, How to make "ifconfig alias" in SuSE 7.0, kernel 2.4.2? Manual "ifconfig" is not give an ansver to that question. In BSD-unix is simple: ifconfig alias <IP-addr>. Is we have only one IP with one interface? It will be sad. -- Best regards, Dmitry mailto:dk@svib.ru

in kernel 2.2, it used to be ifconfig if:# ip... so ifconfig eth0:0 x.y.w.z up may be what you're looking Regards, Adilson
