The fdisk program has an option for listing the possible partition types. However, the columns aren't wide enough and the names of the types are truncated. Where can I find a correct listing of the types? Even better, where can I find an explanation of them? For instance, there are three different types for extended partitions: 5 Extended f Windows 95 Extended 85 Linux extended Why is that, and what's the best one to use for a multi-OS disk?
