ltmodem driver parameter missing since SuSE 9.0
Hi, I used SuSE 8.2 (Kernel 2.4.20) on my laptop with a winmodem and works with a ltmodem driver found on http://www.physcip.uni-stuttgart.de/heby/ltmodem/dists/suse/8.26a9/ ltmodem-kv_2.4.20_4GB-8.26a9-1.i386.rpm after I set a module parameter Forced=3,0x1c00,0x2f8,0 Now I'm trying to get it to work on the same computer with SuSE 9.0 which uses kernel 2.4.21, with the SuSE ltmodem driver rpm. However, I don't seem to be able to set the paramter Forced= anymore, required to get the modem to work. The response from modprobe is "Forced: no such parameter" and later with ltserial "No such device". Does anyone know why the Forced parameter disapeared in the new version, or what came in place? I already installed the newest compiled version from suse update, however it's the same major version (8.26a) as the driver with a working Forced parameter. use modinfo to see which parameters are accepted by the module. Something like "modinfo <modulename>"

I tried. The modules parameters really seems to be disapeared from ltmodem.o... What could be the reason? The major driver version is the same. There has been introduced new RSA parameters on the module ltserial.o but still not being able to set a IRQ and BaseAddress. /Bastiaan
