[SLE] ksh on Suse 10.0
Does anyone know if there is a version of the ksh shell available for Suse 10.0? I found a version for 9.3 on one the mirrors. Will this one work under 10.0?

It's on the DVD: find suse -name 'ksh*' suse/i586/ksh-devel-93q-10.i586.rpm suse/i586/ksh-93q-10.i586.rpm suse/x86_64/ksh-devel-93q-10.x86_64.rpm suse/x86_64/ksh-93q-10.x86_64.rpm -- A.M. -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

1. Do not reply after your signature. Everything after the signature is disregarded by mail clients. Edit the quoted text and remove anything not relevant to your reply. 2. There are more packages on the DVD than on the CD. Specifically, packages that are rarely needed. ksh qualifies for that. Buy the box, the dual-layer DVD in it has _everything_. If it's not on the DVD, then it's not part of SUSE's official package list. 3. ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/distribution/SL-10.0-OSS/inst-source/suse/i586/ksh-93q-10.i586.rpm

Yes, ksh is not there, see http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/tip/16076.html Anyway, search for ksh-devel-93q-10.i586.rpm and you'll find it. -- A.M. -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

I did the search and found the rpm files on a download server. The rpm install went well but the devel rpm file had some conflicts. Don't seem to need it anyway. I now have ksh! Thanks for the info and the name of the rpm files! Bruce.
