[opensuse] OS 10.3 Problem with digital camera Canon Powershot A550 reset full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 8
Hi, I have the following problem with a Canon Powershot A550 digital camera: When plugging it into an arbitrary free usb-port it is recognized by KDE right away, but it takes ages (about 20-30 seconds) until it is accessible via konqueror. When copying images from the camera to a folder on the local hard disk the overall transfer rate is really slow (the image is copied ok, but after each image the progress "hangs" for several seconds). All this is acompanied by the folling dmesg-messages: usb 1-1.1.2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 8 usb 1-1.1.2: new device found, idVendor=04a9, idProduct=3150 usb 1-1.1.2: new device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3 usb 1-1.1.2: Product: Canon Digital Camera usb 1-1.1.2: Manufacturer: Canon Inc. usb 1-1.1.2: SerialNumber: 1E0C3F55EADF4F628CC92B882CE79D34 usb 1-1.1.2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice usb 1-1.1.2: reset full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 8 usb 1-1.1.2: reset full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 8 usb 1-1.1.2: reset full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 8 usb 1-1.1.2: reset full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 8 usb 1-1.1.2: reset full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 8 usb 1-1.1.2: reset full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 8 usb 1-1.1.2: reset full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 8 usb 1-1.1.2: reset full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 8 usb 1-1.1.2: reset full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 8 I have an Fujitsu Amilo M 7400 notebook with opensuse 10.3 with all the latest updates installed. Please open a bugreport. I see the "reset" potentially giving us trouble here, so I am trying to get a fixed libgphoto2 out. Ciao, Marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
