Hi all, Does the latest release of SuSE's 2.4.19 incorporate full acpi support as provided at http://sourceforge.net/projects/acpi ? In other words, do I need to patch the kernel with this in order to get full acpi support for my notebook or is everything already in place? Thanks Gedi

-------------------------- Gedi, I think you will find everything in place now. All of the new kernels SuSE distributes have full acpi support built in and ready to go. Patrick --- KMail v1.5 --- SuSE Linux Pro v8.1 --- Registered Linux User #225206 On any other day, that might seem strange...

!!??!?... not sure. I have SuSE 8.1 with 2.4.19 on my laptop and the battery Icon (klaptop) is disabled. I get an error message from it saying that I have a partial acpi installation, and as far as I know, to fix that, you have to do a lot of linux hoccus-pocus (i.e. patching the kernel and other "frightening" things) or enter acpi=off apm=on at boot-up __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
