[opensuse] Need a windoze expert - for Linux of course
Hello SuSE people Where does Thunderbird keep it's email addresses? (In windoze) (C:/Program Files/Mozilla Thunderbird/?) I want to copy the file from an old Windows Thunderbird install to a new SuSE Thunderbird install. Don't care about the messages, Just the dozens of email addresses. Same deal with Firefox. Just the bookmarks Bob S. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It is stored per user and it is user directory ('me' in this case): "Documents and Settings/me/Application Data/Mozilla/Firefox" It seems that I never used Thunderbird, but it should be in the same directory. -- Regards, Rajko http://en.opensuse.org/Portal needs helpful hands. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Depends on the version of Windows. If XP, check Documents and Settings\{$user}\Application Data\Thunderbird\*.default\abook.mab. -- Joe Morris Registered Linux user 231871 running openSUSE 10.3 x86_64 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Bob, do a search for "abook.mab." That, I believe is the name of the addressbook for both releases.

Go into bookmarks, and the management of them, then export them in a Mozilla format. Fred -- Linux is an old Latin word meaning, "I don't have to support your Windows anymore." -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

If you want to share the messages and all the stuff(training.dat ...) between windows (XP or Vista) and Linux, it is possible without problem. Michel. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

For future reference, I found this useful. I'm not sure what Bob ended up doing. http://www.mozilla.org/support/thunderbird/profile Mike On Thu, May 29, 2008 at 12:53 AM, Bob S <911@sanctum.com> wrote:
