[opensuse] dovecot + sieve + vacation message + user managed?
I have working setup with dovecot, sieve etc - vacation/out-of-office messages are also working very well. If you have a similar setup, how did you enable the end-user to manage his/her own vacation/ooo message? (text + timespan). thanks Per -- Per Jessen, Zürich (9.3°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

on a similar system which I control the users can use Horde/Ingo or Open-Xchange to manage that. There is also a SIEVE addon for Thunderbird but it's more for experienced users IMHO. On my Cyrus IMAP instance users also use Horde/Ingo. It works really well. <http://www.horde.org/apps/ingo/> <http://cyrusimap.web.cmu.edu/> <http://www.opengroupware.us/> -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Adam, Wolfgang, thanks, Ingo looks quite interesting (although we're using roundcube for webmail). -- Per Jessen, Zürich (10.4°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Maybe it's a bit too large for you needs, because it provides web mail, calendar, addressbook and much more. On the other hand caldav, carddav and syncml may suit your users to ;-)

Hi Herbert, thanks, but unfortunately I can't dictate to my users/customers which software to use, so I would need something that independently or for all platforms (Outlook, Thunderbird, iPhone etc). -- Per Jessen, Zürich (9.9°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

That's the reason, why I suggest a web application. It works great together with iPhone and in part with thunderbird. For all other cases (eg. vacation) you can use a web browser.

Ah, I see - thanks, it looks a little big (just for managing vacation replies), but it's probably worth a look. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (11.2°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
