If anyone at SuSE is hearing this. Redhat has released a developer Edition of Advanced Server for a low price. Are there any plans to do the same for your faithful SuSE community? I would love to be able to test a lot of things on SLES7 and SLES8, but cannot afford to pay for it. Don't know if anyone else is interested... regards and thanks, Ahbaid Gaffoor

Have a look around http://www.testdrive.hp.com. They have a selection of SuSE boxes, although no SLES ones at the moment. Tell them you're thinking of purchasing their hardware and they might put one together for you. ;o) They present a limited environment with these machines, but you might be able to do what you want. -- "...our desktop is falling behind stability-wise and feature wise to KDE ...when I went to Mexico in December to the facility where we launched gnome, they had all switched to KDE3." - Miguel de Icaza, March 2003

SuSE 7 is available very cheap at places like cheapbytes.com. SuSE 8 is illegally for sale cheap on ebay. -- use Perl; #powerful programmable prestidigitation
Actually I found everything but Enterprise Software, in particular I wish SuSE would make SLES7 and SLES8 available in developer versions as RedHat is now doing. thanks Ahbaid. zentara wrote:
