[SLE] How does one mount a ZIP drive?
I have an Iomega 100MB ZIP drive connected to my parallel port, and my printer is connected to the Zip drive. I think I have made the necessary entries in modules.conf (alias parport_lowlevel parport_pc, and options parport_pc io=0x378, 0x278 irq=7, none), and I have loaded imm (modprobe imm), but I don't know how to mount the drive itself, since I don't know what its device designation is. Can someone please help me? Thanks very much. Assuming all the drivers are installed and correctly configured: mount -t vfat /dev/sda4 /mnt/zip (also assuming the directory /mnt/zip exists). You can simplify your life by adding the zip drive entry in /etc/fstab: /dev/sda4 /mnt/zip vfat user, noauto 0 0 then you can mount it: mount /mnt/zip I formatted my zips using ext2, so my entry has ext2 instead of vfat. -- George Toft http://www.georgetoft.com -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
