Getting postfix to recognize the domain name.
I have a new SuSE Pro 9.1 system. The Machine name is libros. Right now anyuser@libros.mydomain.whatever is delivered to anyuser correctly. However anyuser@mydomain.whatever is returned and undeliverable. How can I tell postfix that anyuser@mydomain.whatever is the same as anyuser@libros.mydomain.whatever but anyuser@someothermachine.mydomain.whatever is to be set up for popmail on someothermachine. I am sure it is a simple postconf command or an edit to a config file someplace. All comments welcome john ------------------------------------ John N. Append mydomain.whatever to mydestination, e.g.: myhostname = libros.mydomain.whatever mydestination = $myhostname $mydomain localhost $mydomain will default to $myhostname with the host removed, i.e., mydomain.whatever. After saving, run "postfix reload". HTH, Jeffrey
