OK. We've found where to edit it. ATM it has trash:/ in the Location. Where is trash actually? Could you tell us what yours has? Thanks -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

That's what it should have. Technically, the Trash is located at /home/{username}/.local/share/Trash/ or at least, within the /files subfolder there. Sounds like you have some other issue as it shouldn't be necessary to specify that. Something's nagging me as I believe I briefly ran into a strange symptom like this recently, but it may have been on a virtual machine running Kubuntu. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

It says the path does not exist (when it does). Tapping the wastebin gives the same malformed url error, whatever we put in the location.

well, I found the answer, but it's not that obvious. There are as many Trash as partitions on the system in home, it's in .local in other partitions, it's in mount/.Trash.xxx but the trash can plasmoid catch them all in one place jdd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Each partition gets one trash folder. When you plug in an usb stick and delete a file, it gets a trash folder. It is done this way, instead of a central, single folder, because "delete to trash" means in fact "move to trash directory", and this can only be done inside the same partition, same as with hardlinks (a move to a different partition is in fact a copy-delete operation, much slower. The desktop trash icon thus is not a pointer to a single folder, but "something" that collects under a single pseudo-folder the contents of all the actual trash directories in the entire filesystem. Or at least, those owned by the current user. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. I remember long time ago I had some similar problems. There were two cases (IICR) - I've put something to trash on a usb stick and removed the stick without emptying it's trash. Somehow the "trash-system" seemed to remember, but as the stick was not there it could not empty its trash. I've put back the stick and emptied the trash... - in my ~/.local/share/Trash/ there are two folders: files and info. Somehow they got out of sync. I deleted (not to trash!) the contents of both folders (with dolphin as su to root, don't know if necessary), but not the folders themselves. This helped to me, maybe to you, too :-) All (?) information about the trash-system can be found here: http://standards.freedesktop.org/trash-spec/trashspec-latest.html Daniel -- Daniel Bauer photographer Basel Barcelona http://www.daniel-bauer.com room in Barcelona: https://www.airbnb.es/rooms/2416137 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
