Hello Group; I recently downloaded the latest versions of automake, autoconf, and libtool (which has "aclocal" as part of it). SuSE has put the home for all in /usr/share/ (no problem!). The problem is that after a fresh yast2 reload of all the above file libtool.m4 was missing from /usr/share/libtool. Is this a goof on my part or just missing? This problem comes from (as I remember) autoconf "make check" failing on libtool4.test. libtool.m4 is installed in /usr/share/aclocal.

Hey Charlies: I think you are correct and the GNU autoconf-2.57.tar.bz2 has a directory error that caused the problem. I will say libtool-1.4.3.tar.gz is where "aclocal" come from. I simply copied libtool.m4 to the /usr/share/libtool directory and fixed it -- 73 de Donn Washburn __ " http://www.hal-pc.org/~dwash " Ham Callsign N5XWB / / __ __ __ __ __ __ __ 307 Savoy St. / /__ / / / \/ / / /_/ / \ \/ / Sugar Land, TX 77478 /_____/ /_/ /_/\__/ /_____/ /_/\_\ LL# 1.281.242.3256 a MSDOS Virus "Free Zone" OS Email: n5xwb@arrl.net Info: http://www.austinlug.org
