/usr/doc and /usr/doc/packages/`take your pick' This is a really facetious answer but...

Actually, one 2cent tip that people might find useful, is that if you download an rpm which has not been made for SuSE specifically, then you might find that some documents are put in "/usr/doc", when they should be in "/usr/share/doc/packages".
