[opensuse] Password not recognized after locking the session
It seems that after locking the session, my password is no longer recognized. However, in text mode, my password works. This behaviour has started recently, after installing some new packages. Is there a way to solve this problem? -- Bogdan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

This is a persistent phenomenon, now? Or could it be that the X server, for some reason, thinks one or more of your modifier keys is down? Also, you should clarify some things: Which desktop environment are you using? When you say "text" mode, do you mean a virtual console, or a shell running within a terminal emulator in a graphic desktop environment (or both)?

Yes, the phenomenon is persistent. Or could it be that the X server,
for some reason, thinks one or more of your modifier keys is down?
Yes, this is a possibility, it happens before.
Also, you should clarify some things: Which desktop environment are you using?
I use KDE from open SuSE 10.2 with 2.6.21-8 kernel. When you say "text" mode, do you mean a virtual console, or a
shell running within a terminal emulator in a graphic desktop environment (or both)?
I mean a virtual console, once the session is locked I can obtain a virtual console.
