-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 What files are the KMail address book, filters, configurations and account settings stored in. I think I've located the filters and configuration in .kde/share/config (kmail.eventsrc, kmailrc, and kmailrc.filter). I still need the accounts and address book, though. I'm going to completely redo my machine for 9.1 and want to transfer all the email processing to my laptop (also running SuSE) for the time my desktop is down. tia - ---Michael -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2-rc1-SuSE (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAnkjNjeziQOokQnARAk7rAJ4xwdIGOKHVQz9uKH19kjEUYDv0BgCfUkv2 gp8Y7q3mnXgtKFSjGTuCtFI= =8Yqz -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

The accounts are in kmailrc, and the address book data is in .kde/share/apps/kabc/

Thanks much. Somehow, I knew you'd have the info. I'm beginning to think that there's nothing about SuSE Linux you don't know. <g> -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2-rc1-SuSE (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAnlEvjeziQOokQnARAiBAAJ9LxPXrelVfTqcvONaoQJstNvwUBwCgivt5 xXpfn3JXxeRjqFuH7wqG9o4= =GPwx -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

I like to think I've picked up a thing or two over the years. I just wish I could find someone who would pay me for it

Anders rox in here :) So many small tidbits and trix have floated past thru his careful administration of info... :) Regaring the topic: Has anyone written a export/import script for the rules in Kmail?? I don't think there is any import/export function available for the filters in Kmail. The actual filters are located in ~/.kde/share/config/kmailrc So the easiest way is to save this file somewhere else. I have quite often used this method when doing a new install of SuSE and just copy this file back again to restore kmail to its former self. -- Regards, Graham Smith ---------------------------------------------------------

Thats what i do too, but it would be very convenient if you could export the filters (and adressbook too for that matter) if you set up multiple boxes. Sure i can copy the folder, but that would trash the ownership etc.. - -- /Rikard - ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rikard Johnels email : rikjoh@norweb.se Web : http://www.rikjoh.com Mob : +46 (0)735 05 51 01 - ------------------------ Public PGP fingerprint ---------------------------- < 15 28 DF 78 67 98 B2 16 1F D3 FD C5 59 D4 B6 78 46 1C EE 56 > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAn4EJWdS2eEYc7lYRAq/BAJ9llwkHunMy2Xi3rVpsjQsbgncaOwCghBIX OXuXZPMlKCJwJ8tdDs2zHRw= =UoVh -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
