I DID have that before, but....no solution yet. I think your systems are uing the same booot partition ! Which leads to SuSE booting with wrong layout and thus problem with the startup-scripts. (/sbin/rc) Hmm, tough one I reckon. Try symlinks from one layout to another(don't know debian unfortunately. HTH dan

Debian was installed after this problem with booting into SuSE, to be able to save my work from SuSE in case I won't be able to get back in there. The
