Wapaka But this is not working on Linux. Also I tried what Vilmar suggested me: java -classpath Wapaka.jar:WPKScriptLibs.jar:WPKScript.jar:. Wapaka (directories and zip/jar files separated by ":" instead ";") Any more ideas? a.

Java is fantastic on Linux. You are simply having some kind of minor difficulty. Once you understand how Java works a little better, it won't seem so bad. Are WPKScript.jar, etc in your current directory? If not, be sure to give the full path to where they are. If locate is installed try `locate Wapaka.jar' to find where it is. I know nothing about your probram, but have you tried something like `java -jar YourJarFile.jar'? Sometimes the jar files are configured to execute a default program when called this way. Another option is to try jar -ft JarFile.jar which will show you a list of the classes in the jar file. Whatever you run with java will have to be the name of a class file without the .class extention. To see what methods are on each class, use `javap classname' which. If nothing else it should at least show you that your classpath is correct. You might want to try `export CLASSPATH=Wapaka.jar:WPKScriptLibs.jar:WPKScript.jar" STH

Can you tell us what the error message is? Also, just for giggles, put the full path in your classpath and let know what the error message is. For example: java -classpath /home/whatever/Wapaka.jar:/home/something/WPKScriptLibs.jar:/home/elsewhere/WPKScript.jar Wapaka also try this (which is what I do ) CLASSPATH= /home/whatever/Wapaka.jar:/home/something/WPKScriptLibs.jar:/home/elsewhere/WPKScript.jar java Wapaka

Here's the quick answer: I got this to work in about 5 minutes. =) Here's how: 1. Unzip all the contents of the .zip you downloaded from their website to it's own directory. 2. Create a file named 'wapaka.sh' that contains the following line: java -classpath Wapaka.jar:WPKScriptLibs.jar:WPKScript.jar:. Wapaka 3. Verify the following variables are set: (NOTE: This assumes you're using the standard SuSE JRE install) JAVA_BINDIR=/usr/lib/java/bin JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/java JAVA_ROOT=/usr/lib/java 4. Verify that /usr/lib/java/bin is in your $PATH (I think it's safe as long as JAVA_BINDIR is set to leave this out of your $PATH, but I simply keep it as "insurance" ;) 5. chmod 755 wapaka.sh 6. ./wapaka.sh You should have the window pop up in a few seconds. Hope this helps... -John -- Where zen ends, the ass kicking begins...
