Hello, I'm lost with the YaST Runlevel Editor under SuSE 9.0. What I'm trying to do is to activate spamd. So : I go to YaST2 -> System -> Runlevel Editor. Select 'Expert Mode' Select 'spamd' (having runlevel 3 and 5 selected) Click 'enable the service' Click 'start now' Click 'Finish'. After this, spamd is running and working allright, but ............ the next time I have booted the system it is off again and I have to re-activate it via the same sequence ! As far as I know 'Finish' should permanently store my new settings. ( I cannot remember having had any problems in 8.2 with this). Am I wrong ? If so, how else can I achieve that spamd is always automatically started at boot ? TIA and cheers, -- Jan Elders Nuenen the Netherlands

<snip> Hmm, I did this, but still it's not started after boot. What's worse, I noticed that when starting spamd (in the runlevel editor), immediately after that it has stopped again. Why ? I must be overlooking something, but what ? I did the spamassassin installation with YaST and all went well (as far as I can judge). Could there be something else that I must set or trigger ? As I said before, I have spamd under 8.2 running without problems and I can't recall that I had to do something special there. Cheers -- Jan Elders Nuenen the Netherlands
