Hi Guys... I got a SuSE 6.2 eval version (with 2.2.10 patched kernel for support IPS 1.00.00 driver), on a IBM Netfinity 7000, dual processor SMP, but I can't run old FoxPro (M$) with iBCS module (ibcs2-970513-82), I only get a "Segmentation fault" message, and reading the logs, I got really ugly stuff... --- /var/log/messages --- Jan 10 11:25:45 ganymedes kernel: Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000004 Jan 10 11:25:45 ganymedes kernel: current->tss.cr3 = 2b5bc000, %cr3 = 2b5bc000 Jan 10 11:25:45 ganymedes kernel: *pde = 00000000 Jan 10 11:25:45 ganymedes kernel: Oops: 0000 Jan 10 11:25:45 ganymedes kernel: CPU: 3 Jan 10 11:25:45 ganymedes kernel: EIP: 0010:[<f00b1543>] Jan 10 11:25:45 ganymedes kernel: EFLAGS: 00010286 Jan 10 11:25:45 ganymedes kernel: eax: 00000000 ebx: eb673e64 ecx: 00000004 edx: 00000000 Jan 10 11:25:45 ganymedes kernel: esi: 00000000 edi: c0bd37e0 ebp: eb673e78 esp: eb673d9c Jan 10 11:25:45 ganymedes kernel: ds: 0018 es: 0018 ss: 0018 Jan 10 11:25:45 ganymedes kernel: Process foxpro (pid: 384, process nr: 38, stackpage=eb673000) Jan 10 11:25:45 ganymedes kernel: Stack: eb672000 eb673e64 00400330 ec124ee0 00000000 00000000 eb669680 f009c010 Jan 10 11:25:45 ganymedes kernel: fffffff8 00000004 0001fa23 00000000 eb67001c eb670004 00000000 00000004 Jan 10 11:25:45 ganymedes kernel: 000000d4 00000000 00000001 00000001 00000001 c0bd3830 c0bd3808 c0bd37e0 Jan 10 11:25:45 ganymedes kernel: Call Trace: [<f009c010>] [<f00b2164>] [<f00bbfec>] [search_binary_handler+59/276] [do_execve+359/460] [do_execve+396/460] [sys_execve+75/124] Jan 10 11:25:45 ganymedes kernel: [system_call+52/56] Jan 10 11:25:45 ganymedes kernel: Code: 39 48 04 76 06 8b 40 10 8b 14 88 89 54 24 40 eb 14 8d b6 00 --- end --- I have my kernel compiled for SMP, when making testing for a single cpu kernel, i get similar error... Do I need to "compile" iBCS emulator for my system? Where can I find iBCS sources (if there are availeable)? - Nestor -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
