yes but it doesn't contain the package contents anymore. so its basically as useful as yast.

Fire up yast1 not yast2 select the package , then select the information hot key , and it will bring up a list of whats isntalled and where. You need cd 1 in the drive. At 12:18 PM 3/28/2001, Purple Shirt wrote:

As I explained, I want the opposite information! Your case: you know the package name and you find out what program are in it. My case: I know the program name (and I want to install it to satisfy a certain dependency) and I want to know in what package it is located. Thanks anyway!
