RE: [SLE] SuSE 8 Update and Gnome Problems
hehe...newbie aye...try this one out: what the hell is "sticky" and what good is it? -----Original Message----- From: root [mailto:pakre@keylabs.com] Sent: Tuesday, April 30, 2002 5:03 PM To: Suse User Group Subject: [SLE] SuSE 8 Update and Gnome Problems Just updated to SuSE 8.0 and seem to be having problems with gnome and sawfish. Problem #1: I used to be able to hold down <alt> and click the middle mouse button(wheel) on the title bar of a window and it would bring up a menu to make a window sticky, change the frame type and frame style, etc... I no longer am able to get to this menu. Problem #2: In the gnome control center I get the error "The applet encountered an error" when choosing anything under "Sawfish Window Manager". Please help a newbie at this. Well I run this program xqcam for my old b&w quickcam here at work. Basically it acts as a rearview mirror on my desktop. I need it to be sticky so no matter what desktop I am on it will appear in the lower right hand corner. Otherwise it only appears on one desktop so I never know when the boss is coming. Is that a good enough reason :) On Tue, 2002-04-30 at 16:07, kevin.wilson@comtrol.com wrote:

Check this out also: When I try to use the wheel to adjust the volume in xmms it will only adjust by 16%. Meaning that if the volume is at 50% it will only adjust between 50%-66%, no higher, no lower. Am I having a wheel mouse problem?
