It's better ( in the sense that nothing will be break with yast update) to create inside /etc/apache2 a folder that will include your customizations. - To do this, modify /etc/sysconfig/apache with: APACHE_CONF_INCLUDE_DIRS="/etc/apache2/my_conf" - Create my.conf inside /etc/apache2/my_conf/ and put "NameVirtualHost 172.20.11.212:80" in it (I used named-base virtual host) - in /etc/apache2/vhost.d, create 2 virtual configurations files, : default.conf, zope0.conf The first one is just the default virtual host section <VirtualHost dolphin.my.domain:80> ServerAdmin webmaster@my.domain ServerName dolphin.my.domain DocumentRoot "/srv/www/htdocs" # if not specified, the global settings are used </VirtualHost> The second is the one used for your virtual host, in my case a redirect to Zope: <VirtualHost zope0.my.domain:80> ServerAdmin webmaster@my.domain ServerName zope0.my.domain DocumentRoot "/srv/www/vhosts/zope0.my.domain" # if not specified, the global error log is used ErrorLog /var/log/apache2/zope0.my.domain-error_log CustomLog /var/log/apache2/zope0.my.domain-access_log combined # log IP addresses HostnameLookups Off UseCanonicalName Off ServerSignature On RewriteEngine on RewriteLog /var/log/apache2/zope0.my.domain-rewrite.log RewriteLogLevel 5 RewriteRule ^/(.*) http://zope0.my.domain:8080/VirtualHostBase/http/zope0.my.domain:80/$1 [L,P] </VirtualHost> -----Preston Crawford wrote: -----
