I cant give you the script itself, but it is probably better to leave "xhost +" out of this script entirely or use xhost +remotehost instead. Hmm, have a look at "expect", if you really need to use telnet for this. If you are looking for other options, use SSH, which makes the above very easy: ssh remotehost executeapplication Bye, LenZ -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ Lenz Grimmer SuSE GmbH mailto:grimmer@suse.de Schanzaeckerstr. 10 http://www.suse.de/~grimmer 90443 Nuernberg, Germany -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

I'll second this approach. I do this here & it works great. As an added bonus, ssh even through the firewall at work that blocks the ports X uses. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
