On SUSE 10 / KDE: Run a program that wants to show a window, and the window is put under all other windows (possibly making it not visible), and the ICON in the task bar flashes a few times. But the window remains obscured by other windows. As an example, we see this for YAST when it wants a password. The dialog is not seen above the other windows. Not every time. But quite a few. It requires that the screen have windows covering lots of it. Quite a few other distro supplied apps behave this way. We also see this in a local app that has a full screen window, but will make an additional window if there is an error. The users are not noticing this error window as it is under the main window, which they think is no longer working as the program focus is in the obscured window. This behavior is different than 9.2 and all earlier. We see this is every SUSE 10 we have. They are running pretty much out of the box. So it is very unlikely that it is a setting that individuals at separate locations are all suddenly doing. Any one else see this behavior? -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems AB
