MSQL terminates at logoff - runlevels
I installed MySQL per instructions on novell/suse.com. Now, if I log out to graphical login, Mysql closes. Run levels where 2, 3, 5 and I adjusted them to 3,5 as Apache (which does not terminate) is. Something else is happening here... Any suggestions? Second questions, whats the Suse equivalent of the following RH method for start/stop services /etc/rc.d/init.d/service start/stop/restart Thanks! Former RH user, and new to Suse, enjoying it, and love YAST!

From root, rcmysql start rcmysql stop rcmysql status Scott -- POPFile, the OpenSource EMail Classifier http://popfile.sourceforge.net/ Linux 2.6.5-7.108-default x86_64

Scott What's wrong with using YAST/System/Run Level Editor? Just a few mouse clicks and it is done. No fat-fingering involved. -- POPFile, the OpenSource EMail Classifier http://popfile.sourceforge.net/ Linux 2.6.5-7.108-default x86_64

Humm, did someone say that there was something wrong with it? No, the OP seemed to have been coming from the frame of reference of the CLI. Scott -- POPFile, the OpenSource EMail Classifier http://popfile.sourceforge.net/ Linux 2.6.5-7.108-default x86_64
