I just installed 7.0 (a clean install), including KDE 1. All seems to work well, but when I close down the X server I numerous repetitions of "Kmix : Could not write to mixer". The sound card is a Soundblaster Live Value and has the appropriate driver. The Kmix runs and works fine. The various /dev/mixer devices have the same permissions as all other devices.
