Hi folks .. Well one thing i have found that was in KDE 3.5 was the utility that allowed you to pick they type of keyboard you have connected to make use of the extra keys I have an Logitech internet navigator keyboard under 11.2 and KDE 3.5.x i was able to select this keyboard and all the extra keys would function correctly (apart from the iTouch key ) never did find what that was supposed to do is there a similar utility for KDE4.4.4 or even 4.5 if so what is it called . If not how are we supposed to set about configuring the extra keys .. I've got one of those in the office. Looking at 4.5 right now, the module is in System Settings under Hardware->Input Devices->Keyboard. I haven't got a 4.4 running right now but if nobody steps in I'll boot a VM in the morning. -- Will Stephenson, openSUSE Team SUSE LINUX Products GmbH - Nürnberg - AG Nürnberg - HRB 16746 - GF: Markus Rex -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

One can chose a keyboard layout and model in the regional settings kcm module, same location as in KDE3 AFAIR. Sven -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Hum Seems like 4.5 must be way different then because i have looked all over and am completely unable to find any way to change anything but the language of the keyboard as for actual make and model connected nothing . seems it may well be a big error in 4.4.4 Pete . -- Powered by openSUSE 11.3 (x86_64) Kernel: 2.6.34-12-desktop KDE Development Platform: 4.4.4 (KDE 4.4.4) "release 2" 07:27 up 8 days 21:25, 2 users, load average: 0.05, 0.07, 0.03 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

The sky isn't falling. 4.4: System Settings. Personal->Regional & Language->Keyboard Layout http://ktown.kde.org/~wstephenson/opensuse-kde/ss44-keyboardlayout.png 4.5: System Settings Hardware->Input Devices->Keyboard http://ktown.kde.org/~wstephenson/opensuse-kde/ss45-keyboardlayout.png HTH Will -- Will Stephenson, KDE Developer, openSUSE Boosters Team SUSE LINUX Products GmbH - Nürnberg - AG Nürnberg - HRB 16746 - GF: Markus Rex -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
