[opensuse] howto - Remove xorg 7.3 reinstall xorg 7.2
Listmates, (fglrx and xorg 7.3 are in fatal conflict - buglist at bottom of page) My last working setup was fglrx and xorg 7.2. How can I replace xorg 7.3 with xorg 7.2 and make sure I am really uninstalling all of 7.3? An easy way I am not aware of. Insert the install DVD, cd to the dir and run: rpm --oldpackage --replacepkgs -uvh (h optional) *7.2* and it should replace all of the 7.3 packages with 7.2 packages. Try $ zypper install -C xorg-x11=7.2 If you have a repo with all the needed 7.2 packages, it should do the job (it should downgrade the xorg-x11 package to 7.2 while dragging all the other dependencies). You can also try other operators (<,<=,>,>=) to specify the version you want, e.g. like this: xorg-x11<=7.2 Let us know how that went. Cheers, Jano

Try
