I've suggested to publish the files on-line, so each contributor can submit his part, and the SuSE-supervisors can manage the final result. But this possibility has not been considered, evidently. I've both 5.3 and 6.1 manuals, and they are nothing with respect to the english version (not to mention the original one, but I don't know german).
