[opensuse] False positives about trojans in libreoffice-3.4.5.5-4.5.1.src.rpm
I just had some shock after downloading updates for SuSE. There are viruses in libreoffice-3.4.5.5-4.5.1.src.rpm ! Rechecked, downloaded from http://download.opensuse.org/update/12.1/src/ checked again and so on. Can someone please add a warning to this file in the repositories pointing to the posting at http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/libreoffice/2011-September/018749.html ? Would have saved me some time. ;-) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Is there any merit to this claim ? Sincerely. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Answer *always*: Possibly, but likely not! The particular unmentioned likely windoz based software testing libreoffice and the OP certainly believe so, but the expected *loud* acknowledgments by others has not been forthcoming. Did you find it to contain mal-ware? -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Well, yes, it has MacroVirii in the testsuite in the Source RPM. I brought this up with the libreoffice team and they will crypt them at least in future. Ciao, Marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
