[opensuse] How do I make the installation system pick the network interface it was PXE-booted from?
It is a bit annoying to boot up an openSUSE installation system via PXE, PXE and then have to wait for the first few dhcp attempts to time out before the right interface is hit. For instance, I've just started an installation on a system with four interfaces. Unfortunately it was the last one (eth3) that had the physical connection :-( Is there an automatic way of letting the installation use system use the interface it was PXE booted from? I think the init system is meant to be passed a "dhcp_macaddresses" parameter, but I don't think this is happening: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=725684 -- Per Jessen, Zürich (24.9°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
