Re: [SLE] Linksys Network Card/AT&T @home Cable Modem
Ben is right here. I love the LNE100TX and use it regularly. It's basically the only card I like to use. I though must say at times I have a hardware conflict and the card is recognized but fails to initiate a connection. Then I have to switch to another card. I also like the Winbond 840 chipset but it has its bugs when installing under Windows and usually works great under Linux. Problem is winbond-840.c doesn't come with 2.2 kernel (and you need get it from beowulf.org) but I heard it is included with 2.4 now. mk

Hello all,
It is not true that these are "Wincards" because I have at least 20 of them in workstations in this office and they work just fine. I would look for a hardware conflict or some other reason. YaST1 and 2 work fine with these cards. You can use the tulip or old_tulip drive with them and they work fine.

=>Windows. Three of us tried all sorts on it. Refused to work at all. =>That was with Mandrake 7.2. => =>My own favourites are low cost NE2000 PCI cards. These work very =>well. Unless of course you need a high speed card or use Beowulf =>stuff. If you want to throw money away the 3Com cards can be very good =>but I find that the 3C509 cards only work with earlier versions of =>Linux.
